The ‘SF set up’ (Smart Filter Setup) page comes next. In total you can set up 16 smart filters on a report page. If you wish to have more than four column values from one particular field of data, you can add the same column twice on the previous page. The illustration below shows the set up page where same field (Product Category) is repeated 2 times in order to accommodate each of the 5 unique Product category names as a Smart Filter.
On selecting a column value, the first 4 characters of the value is selected by default as the Smart Filter label, you can edit the characters if needed. The length of the Smart Filter label cannot exceed 4 characters.
The report with the smart filters setup so far is shown in the next illustration. Users can click on one or more smart filter values to customize the report to meet their specific need.
